« Teresa Paquin Skincare Benefits of Vitamin A, C and Niacinamide! Benefits of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and Niacinamide for your skin There are three vitamins that are so important for healthy, glowing skin. What are they? Why are they so beneficial? What products are recommended that contain these ingredients? Read on to find out. Vitamin C What is it ? Vitamin C is a skin brightening ingredient and it pretty much takes the cake for the most important vitamin to have in your skincare routine. Why is it so beneficial? It helps protect the skin from free radicals, which contributes to fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. Vitamin C is most beneficial when applied topically so it can be absorbed into the skin quickly. While it is recommended to apply topically, it is a good idea to take it supplementally too as vitamin C is vital for internal skin health. Our bodies don’t generate vitamin C naturally, so we must consume it. Vitamin C is required for support of tissues found in all areas of the body, especially the skin. Product recommendations that contain Vitamin C: Ultimate Ferulic C and E Serum by Essential Dermaceuticals Vitamin A What is it ? Vitamin A is commonly found in retinoids and is one of the most important topical ingredients for the skin. Why is it so beneficial ? This ingredient works to stimulate cell turnover which allows the production newer and smoother skin. It also stimulates the production of collagen, reduces dark spots, and unclogs pores and blemishes. By using a retinol regularly, your skin will build better elasticity and even your skin tone and texture. Vitamin A helps strengthen and thicken the skin barrier. It is best to start with a retinol slowly to see how much your skin can handle without irritation. Begin by applying small amounts every two or three days until your skin builds a tolerance. Product recommendations that contain Vitamin A: Skin Renewal PM by Essential Dermaceuticals Niacinamide (sometimes known as Vitamin B) What is it ? Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and is a gentle and effective ingredient for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Why is it so beneficial ? Niacinamide has anti-inflammatory properties, helps with pigmentation, evens skin tone, regulates oil production, and helps to build a healthy skin barrier. It plays a big role in cellular energy production and mitochondrial health. It benefits not only the skin, but by taking it supplementally, can benefit the entire body as well. While these benign growths are typically harmless, they can cause aesthetic discomfort. Fortunately, Thermoclear offers a non-invasive and convenient treatment option for eliminating cherry angiomas. In this blog post, we'll delve into the nature of cherry angiomas and explore how Thermoclear's radiofrequency thermocoagulation can help safely and effectively remove these skin imperfections.Understanding Cherry AngiomasCherry angiomas are benign skin growths characterized by small, red, dome-shaped bumps that can appear anywhere on the body. They are formed when blood vessels clump together and create a raised lesion on the skin's surface. While the exact cause of cherry angiomas is unknown, they are more common as we age and may be influenced by genetic factors.Cherry Angiomas and ThermoclearThermoclear is a revolutionary non-invasive treatment option for various skin imperfections, including cherry angiomas. It utilizes radiofrequency thermal coagulation technology to target and eliminate these unwanted growths. Let's take a closer look at how Thermoclear works:Non-Invasive Approach- Thermoclear offers a non-invasive alternative to surgical methods, providing a quick and convenient treatment for cherry angiomas. It utilizes radiofrequency energy to gently heat and coagulate the blood vessels within the angioma, ultimately causing it to shrink and fade.Precision and Accuracy- The Thermoclear device allows for precise targeting of cherry angiomas, ensuring that only the affected area is treated. This precision helps minimize damage to the surrounding healthy skin, resulting in a more comfortable and efficient treatment experience.Minimal Discomfort and Downtime- Thermoclear treatment for cherry angiomas is generally well-tolerated, with minimal discomfort experienced by patients. The procedure typically lasts a few minutes per angioma and requires no anesthesia or downtime. Patients can resume their regular activities immediately after treatment.Gradual Results- After Thermoclear treatment, the cherry angioma may initially darken before gradually fading away over the course of a few weeks. Multiple treatment sessions may be necessary depending on the size and number of angiomas present. Your skincare professional will guide you on the recommended treatment plan for optimal results.Consulting a Skincare ProfessionalWhile Thermoclear offers a safe and effective method for treating cherry angiomas, it's crucial to consult a qualified skincare professional or dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan. They will assess your specific condition and determine whether Thermoclear is suitable for you.Cherry angiomas, though benign, can be a cosmetic concern for many individuals. Thermoclear's non-invasive radiofrequency thermocoagulation treatment provides a safe and efficient solution for removing these unwanted skin growths. Teresa Paquin Learn More About Anika Skincare and Makeup – Aesthetician Teresa Paqui I wanted to share more about my background and what I offer at Anika Skincare. When my daughter was born, she suffered from food allergies and very bad eczema. Even though I was already a licensed Cosmetologist and makeup artist, I wanted to gain more knowledge to help people with their skin. My interest in skincare was also fueled by Dr. Thomas Cowan, who was a holistic doctor in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Dr. Cowan helped my daughter tremedously through diet, nutrional supplements, herbal tinctures and other remedies. I saw the improvements first hand as she got older. As I learned more about natural healing and nutrition over the years I decided to go to school for advanced esthetics. This led to the opening of my own skincare business in 2004. I choose the name Anika because it means grace and beauty in most languages. Specifically in African, it means ' sweetness of face'. I wanted to highlight this because I help people across the spectrum of color, from the lightest complexions to the darkest. Fast forward twenty years and I am still helping people with their skin health. I developed an interagrative approach to skincare by looking at the whole person. I've combined several different modalities to customize a plan to fit an individual's needs. I help people with acne, aging skin, sun damaged skin, rosacea, enviromentally sensitive skin types and more. I helped many clients with skincare symptoms caused by autoimmune diseases like Lupus, Sjogrens disease, allergies and cancer treatments. Several of my clients' skin healed through micro- current therapies. They regained feeling where they had been numb from previous surgeries. This prompted me to seek additional education as a mirco current practioner. If you do not know about the benefits of microcurrents, please see my blogs!Common questions about facial micro current treatments- also called non invasive face and necklifts.New Lift MD Microcurrent Advanced FacialAdditionally, I became a skincare formulator over the years.
