As we age, our eyebrows do too. Many time women experience shortening of the eyebrow s due to a loss of estrogen. And, shorter brows can make your face look older. Also, if brows are tweezed or waxed too thin or arched too much, this can also add years to a face.
Tips:
If tweezing at home, use natural light or a well-lit mirror with natural bulbs.
Outline the area with corn starch that you are wanting to tweeze, to avoid taking out too much especially if you are using a magnifying mirror.
When trimming eyebrows, always brush the eyebrows up first. Then, trim one hair or two at time, so you don’t cut into the brow.
When filling in with color, there are several different eye brow products you can use that range from eyebrow pencils, powders and gels.
When choosing a color, make sure to match hair color as closely as possible, not going to dark, which can be severe looking.
The best eyebrow shape for you is one that follows the natural shape of your eyes. Using a pencil, simply hold it up straight against your nose. This is a good guideline to show you where your eyebrows should start. Then, angle the pencil outward, about where the outside of your pupil is to determine the arch placement. The eyebrow should also not be extended too far out and down. This makes people look tired. Please refer to image above for how to use pencil as a guide.
